Congratulations to Alfatah Cricket Club on their magnificent victory in this year’s Alison Law, Pepes T20 Cup final! They showcased exceptional skill and teamwork, defeating Rotherham Town Eagles by an impressive margin of 43 runs.
Alfatah CC demonstrated their batting prowess by setting a challenging target of 136 runs in 20 overs, and their strong performance in the field restricted Rotherham Eagles to a total of just 93 runs. It’s a testament to their hard work and dedication.
Like I mentioned before spin played a key part both in Alfatah’s innings and also in Rotherham Town’s. Spin cancelled each other out but the difference was Ihtisham and Goli’s power hitting. Between them two, they got 60 runs and took 4 wickets, each taking 2 catches
. Goli’s catch of Azeem Bava, running in from boundary and diving forward, broke the camels back and the hopes of any fight back from Rotherham Town.
